Inputs/outputs:
- INPUT — 1/4” mono jack input for the signal source.
- THRU — 1/4” mono jack output to other effects or amps (buffered).
- SEND — 1/4” mono jack output to effects.
- RETURN — 1/4” mono jack input for effects.
- OUTPUT — 1/4” mono jack output to other effects or amps.
- XLR — +10 dBu balanced output. Master volume knob does not affect this output.
Controls:
- DRIVE — Input sensitivity.
- BASS, MID, TREBLE — three band EQ, flat response with all knobs at noon.
- LEVEL — channel volume.
- MASTER VOLUME — output level.
- A/B footswitch — selects active channel.
- BOTH footswitch — activates both channels work in parallel.
- GND switch — disconnect ground pin on balanced output to prevent ground loops.
- CABSIM switch — selects XLR output mode: Direct signal, 2x15 model or 8x10 model (This switch is located inside the pedal. To change cabsim setting: unplug power adapter, unscrew bottom plate and set toggle in required position).
Power supply: 9V regulated power supply, 2.1*5.5mm, center negative, 500mA minimum.

All guitars in this video were recorded using BETA preamplifier. Each combination with power amp and cabinet is described in caption for each sound example.
In signal chain were used:
Amps: Ampeg SVT-4PRO power amplifier section, Marshall 20/20 tube amp. Cabinets: Orange 2x12 (Jim Root model), Sunn 200s 2x15 replica. Mics: Shure Beta52A, Sennheiser e906.
Guitars: GibsonLes Paul Custom, Gibson Explorer Gothic, Fender Stratocaster, Gibson SG Standard.
Effects used in DAW: two filters,HPF - 80Hz, LPF - 8kHz (18dB/octave) plus some plate reverb and some transparent compression (to boost overall volume)

Red channel is BETA LEAD, green is BETA BASS.
All basses in this video were recorded using BETA preamplifier.

Cabinets: Sunn 200s 2x15 replica, Ampeg 6x10
Mics: Shure Beta52A, Rode NT1
Guitars: Fender Precision, Gibson Thunderbird, Mosrite bass.

In this video BETA preamp is used for direct recording to sound interface without using power amplifier or guitar cabinet.
Balanced output is in cab-simulated mode (model "2x15"). Master volume has no effect for XLR, master out not used.
Strymon DECO is placed into series loop for short tape delay.
Two filters applied in DAW: HPF - 80Hz, LPF - 8kHz (18dB/octave) plus some plate reverb and some transparent compression (to boost overall volume).
